The Power of Internships

The Pittsburgh Technology Council connects member companies with interns from about 50 colleges and universities in the region, as a benefit service. Engineering is in great demand this summer, along with lean manufacturing internships. The Council traditionally makes placements in manufacturing, life sciences, education, marketing, computer science, software programming, web design, and with media companies like radio, TV, newspapers, and ad agencies.

McCain a ‘Valiant Shield’ Against Submarine Threats

McCain (DDG 56) firmly established herself as an Anti-submarine Warfare (ASW) expert by sinking five simulated hostile submarines within the first few days of the exercise.

Corpus Christi Firm Meets Navy Mine Warfare Mission Need

On May 17th, 2006, Advanced Acoustic Concepts (AAC) - Corpus Christi, announced its third successful delivery of a Mine Warfare Sonar Training Program to the U.S. Navy. The programs train sonar operators and analysts to correctly classify sonar contacts as mine-like or non mine-like. This training will greatly accelerate the speed and enhance the effectiveness with which the Navy can conduct mine hunting operations.
