AAC Maryland Operations 2009 James S. Cogswell Award Recipient

The Department of Defense Security Service has awarded Advanced Acoustic Concepts Columbia, Maryland Operations (MDO) the highest honor it can present to a government contractor, the 2009 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award.

AAC's MDO team was one of only 14 recipientís of this yearís award. To be considered for this prestigious honor, nominees must go through a rigorous selection process that requires extraordinary security practices on behalf of management and the facility workforce. Additionally, all Cogswell Award nominees must at a minimum have two consecutive superior industrial security review ratings and show a sustained degree of excellence and innovation in their overall security program management, implementation and oversight.

Members of the MDO Security Team are Cherin Schellenschlager, Astra White, and Eukia Bryant. Eukia Bryant accepted the award on behalf of AAC at the National Classification Management Societyís (NCMS) 45th Annual Training Seminar in Anaheim, California. The award was presented by the Honorable James R. Clapper, Jr., Under Secretary of Defense (Intelligence) and Kathy Watson, Director, Defense Security Service.
