Mid Level Software Engineer - Uniontown, Pennsylvania

ADVANCED ACOUSTIC CONCEPT’S INC., a leading supplier of COTS based Tactical Signal Processing Systems and Embedded/CBT Training has several open positions. All positions offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
      Job Responsibilities
        • Designs, implements, maintains, installs, tests, and documents software applications.
        • Contribute to robust designs satisfying customer requirements while following company and domain standards. Participate in peer review process of final design. Present design to customers for approval to proceed.
        • Contribute to the implementation of new software enhancements/products. Develop flexible solutions from approved designs using efficient programming practices/tools.
        • Maintain and monitor system quality by contributing to the maintenance of deployed software. Recreate problems and utilize debugging tools/practices to aid in determining solutions to problems.
        • Support the installation of released software applications including on-site customer installations, lab installations, or phone-support for software customers.
        • Participate in the testing process through unit-testing, regression testing, integrated test scenarios, factory acceptance tests through customer acceptance.
        • Provide accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive documentation products of the software engineering process.
        • Requires demonstrable strengths in software design, Java development, XML technologies, web based applications, graphical user interface design, and network programming; and working knowledge of database interfaces, C/C++ programming, messaging protocols, and Agile development methodologies.
        • Generally collaborates with and/or leads a group of software engineers in the end-to-end development and delivery of high-quality software products. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish individual and project goals.
          Skills Required
          • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
          • 4 to 6+ years of demonstrated experience
          • Language/API:
          • Java (4 yrs+), J2EE, JSP (2 yrs +), WSDL (2yrs +), XML (2 yrs +), XSL (2yrs +)
          • HTML (2 yrs +), Ant, Python, C/C++ (1 yr +), Swing,
          • JDOMWeb Servers: Tomcat
          • Middleware: CORBA (JacORB a plus), ACE/TAO
          • Database: MySQL, ODBC, JDBC
          • Operating System: Linux Redhat 6.2/7.3/9.0, RHEL 4/5, Fedora Core 2, Solaris 8.0/9.0, Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server
          • Software: MS Office

            • Must be a US Citizen
            • Must be able to obtain a Secret Level Government Clearance
