Senior Software Engineer 1 - Long Island, New York

ADVANCED ACOUSTIC CONCEPT’S INC., a leading supplier of COTS based Tactical Signal Processing Systems and Embedded/CBT Training has several open positions. All positions offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

      Job Responsibilities
      • Evaluate, design, code, test, implement, document and support software products.
      • A candidate who can lead, technically or as a manager, a strong team of developers. The candidate will extend the current platform to enable new solutions the US NAVY and DoD.
      Skills Required
      • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related field.
      • Strong object oriented programming background a must - C++ experience mandatory.
      • Must be able to coach and mentor junior developers to follow proper SDLC methodology and practice, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, support
      • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with AAC’s customer and partners
      • Help solidify AAC’s leadership position in the enterprise process and services oriented architecture in the DOD space
      • Identify reusable assets during implementation and gather them to build our portfolio of reusable solutions and modular services
      • Build upon and help to institute SOA solution design and implementation best practices
      • Knowledge of SOA trends, market analysis, and products and SOA standards, including XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, and middleware.
      • Knowledge of SOA strategies, including ROI-based analysis around service prioritization and value capture.
      • Experience with Java highly desirable
      • Experience in agile development methodologies & work environment
      • *Good verbal and written communication skills.
      • *Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly.
      • *Strong capabilities performing independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
