Project Manager - Columbia, Maryland

        Job Responsibilities
          • Comprehend and synthesize technical project requirements from contract documentation, delegate responsibilities to project engineering leads & develop implementation plan to meet goals
          • Establish program schedule and program management plan documents; manage tasks through the system development life cycle & deliver on time and within projections
          • Manage Engineering, Production & CM/QA efforts to accomplish program goals
          • Plan the project Builds & Resource Allocations
          • Determine Resource Requirements
          • Maintain Project Budget & Financial Reports
          • Identify/Refine Risks and Risk Management Approach/ Manage & Mitigate Risks
          • Ensure Test Procedures are in place
          • Prepare Project Documentation, Status Briefs and Reports as needed
          • Develop, Negotiate & Manage Internal and External Task Instructions
          • Manage and Motivate Assigned Personnel
          • Manage Expenditure against Plan
          • Maintain Accurate & Current Forecasts
          • Manage Issues & Follow Up on Team Action Items
          • Report status to AAC management at periodic review meetings
          • Track Earned Value on Tasking
          • Produce clear communications, presentations and notifications on software builds, releases, deliveries
            Skills Required
              • BA/BS/BSc in a relevant business ,engineering or scientific discipline; Advanced Degree desired
              • 5 years’ experience in project engineering (hardware, software)
              • 5-10+ years’ experience managing technical software development projects and engineering personnel
              • Career progression in management positions of increasing responsibility
              • Skilled in PC-based tools (e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
              • Proficient in MS Project
              • Possess excellent inter-personal communications and managerial skills
                Other
                • PMI Certification nice to have or good if in-process
                • US Citizen, Eligible to obtain US government security clearance
